This website is dedicated to the research I made on full-time RVing for my PhD in Anthropology. This lifestyle consists on selling possessions to live and travel on the North-American roads year-round in a recreational vehicle (RV). Here you will find out what I learnt being on the road with full-time RVers and what's new about my research. My fieldwork brought me in 21 US states and two Canadian provinces where I interviewed more than a hundred full-time RVers and met so many nice people.

Ce site Internet est dédié à ma recherche de doctorat en Anthropologie sur le full-time RVing. Ce mode de vie consiste à vivre à l'année dans un véhicule récréatif (VR) et voyager sur les routes nord-américaines après avoir vendu mobilier et résidence. Vous trouverez sur ce site des informations concernant mes expériences sur la route en compagnie des full-time RVers et les dernières nouvelles de ma recherche. Mon terrain de recherche m'a amenée dans 21 états américains et deux provinces canadiennes dans lesquels j'ai interrogé plus d'une centaine de full-time RVers et ai rencontré tant de personnes qui me sont chères.  

 

What's New?

After my PhD defense on Decembre, 22nd, 2006, I receive a scholarship for a post-doctoral research at Université Laval in Quebec city to supervise a project on Quebec cultural intangible heritage. Fifteen students are working on this project year-round. At the same time, I work on my researches and try to finish the publication of my PhD dissertation.

Après l'obtention de mon doctorat le 22 décembre 2006 avec les félicitations du jury à l'unanimité, je me suis offerte une bourse postdoctorale à l'Université Laval. Je suis maintenant coordonnatrice du projet d'inventaire des ressources ethnologiques du patrimoine immatériel du Québec qui regroupe une quinzaine d'étudiants-chercheurs. Parallèlement à ce rôle, je poursuis mes recherches et tente d'avancer sur la publication de ma thèse de doctorat. Je vous tiendrai au courant...
